Local Emergency Planning Committee





The Camden County / Lake of the Ozarks Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) is a federally mandated local group whose purpose is to prepare the local community for hazardous material emergencies. These can include materials such as hazardous chemicals, radiological materials, biohazardous materials, and more. Their primary responsibilities include developing response plans to hazardous material events, reviewing them annually, conducting training exercises, and determining community resource needs to such events.







All businesses and facilities within Camden County who sell, store, use, or produce hazardous chemicals are required by law to complete Tier Two forms. Please see below for additional information.

What is Tier II?



Tier II applies to facilities where hazardous chemicals are used, produced, or stored. These facilities must submit a Tier Two Form if the quantity of hazardous chemicals on hands exceeds specific thresholds.
